Photographer Aivar Udrys on trial in Hlybokaye
Photographer Aivar Udrys was arrested along with other residents of Hlybokaye during a raid by law enforcement officials a few days ago. This was revealed in a video clip posted by the police on their Telegram channel on 19 September.
The footage featuring the photographer in the police station appeared at the end of a video clip posted on the Telegram channel Kniga GU Baza reporting the detentions of Hlybokaye residents.
On 19 September, Aivar Udrys was brought before the Hlybokaye District Court on charges of “violating the order to hold a mass event”. The case was heard by Judge Andrei Tarasevich. The outcome of the administrative case is still unknown.
Aivar Udrys has a small photography studio in Hlybokaye and has participated in various national photography competitions.
During the police raid in Hlybokaye, around 10 people were arrested, including well-known public activists in the town.
