Journalist Dzmitry Lupach targeted: Hlybokaye investigators announce charges in local paper
The Hlybokaye District Department of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against Dzmitry Lupach. According to the IC, he is suspected of aiding an extremist formation, meaning his cooperation with the Belsat TV channel.
The state-run regional newspaper Vesnik Hlybochchyny reported that “Dzmitry Lupach, who has previously committed a crime under Part 1 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code, has repeatedly committed the same offense with a criminal intent to assist in the extremist formation Belsat TV. This assistance was provided in the form of a video on the Hlybokaye Compound Feed Mill, which was produced for later use by Belsat TV.”
On May 8, Belsat TV published the video on its Telegram channel that has been declared extremist, “thanks to Lupach’s assistance.”
