  • Criminal cases initiated against ABW.BY journalists

The criminal investigation was launched against ABW.by editor-in-chief Yulia Mudreuskaya and the special projects editor Yury Gladchuk, reports Reform.by.

Their “penitential” videos appeared on pro-government Telegram channels.

In the video, Mudreuskaya says she took part in protests in August and September 2020, however, the criminal article for the charges is not specified.

In his video, special projects editor Yury Gladchuk admitted taking part in unsanctioned rallies and following extremist Telegram channels. A criminal case was brought against him under Article 342 of the Criminal Code («Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them»).

Three staff members of the automobile portal ABW.by were detained on 16 June. Besides Mudreuskaya and Gladchuk, editor Vadzim Zenkevich was arrested.
