Journalists detained again in Minsk

In the evening of July 15, RFE/RL journalist Anton Trafimovich and BelaPAN freelance correspondent Violeta Savchyts were detained in the center of Minsk.
Before his detention, Anton Trafimovich conducted a live report near the building of the Central Election Commission.
A civil action took place in Minsk today: about 2,500 people lined up to file complaints against the Central Election Commission (CEC). After the CEC closed at 7 pm riot police detained people from the queue, blocked the street with paddy wagons and security officers.
About an hour later, the journalists were released from police department.
