NGO Assembly Picks Leaders of the Civil Society

In the cat­e­go­ry “Media/Journalist of the Year”, the Assem­bly award­ed blog­ger Anton Motolko for urgent cov­er­age of burn­ing issues of the non-gov­ern­men­tal sec­tor.

The anti-prize “Pump­kin of the Year” was award­ed to the Infor­ma­tion Min­istry for the order to destroy the whole cir­cu­la­tion of the book “Long road to tyran­ny: post-com­mu­nist author­i­tar­i­an­ism and fight for democ­ra­cy in Ser­bia and Belarus” by Vital Sil­it­s­ki.

In the nom­i­na­tion “Civ­il leader of the year”, the prize was award­ed to Svi­at­lana Alex­ievich.

The “Best web­site of the year” prize was award­ed to adukacyja.info.

The jury con­sist­ed of 114 peo­ple.
